Earl Anderson of Morgan competed in the Huntsman Senior Games in St. George, Utah, on Thursday, Oct. 12. Anderson, who is 70 years old, has been training for months riding his bike all over Morgan County. While he has been biking for several years, it’s only been the past few years that he has been riding 20 miles. To get ready for the games, Anderson started riding a few days a week and would train by riding 20-30 miles from his home in Morgan to Morgan Valley Drive, Mountain Green, East Canyon, and to Eden.

Anderson placed sixth overall in his division for 25k road bike. “It had a lot of pretty steep hills that made it difficult,” commented Anderson. He was happy with his sixth-place finish. He is hoping to compete again next year.λ
