Meet MGMS Student Councils

Mountain Green Middle School Student Council is made up of seventh and eighth graders with Jen Gardner, MGMS Sped teacher and school counselor, as their advisor. MGMS helps with various activities such as assemblies, Spirit Week, Gratitude Week, Make a Difference Week, and Random Acts of Kindness Week. They plan activities for each week and listen to the student body to advocate for their needs and wants. “We work hard to create a fun and inclusive environment in our school,” Jen Gardner, student council advisor said. Student Council also runs The Den which is the school store.

Eighth-grade members are:

Libby Evan’s favorite subject is P.E. because she says it is really fun to play the games. Libby said she wanted to be on student council because it is really fun and she likes helping around the school. Three things that make Libby who she is are, that she likes to dance, be with friends, and she also likes to cheer. In Libby’s spare time, she likes to be with her friends and family. 

Reece Kelly Crowther's favorite subject in school is science because she says it's fun and easy. She loves Mrs. Harris because she makes everything entertaining but not that complex. Reece wanted to be on student council because she wanted to be in leadership roles. She says she loves helping and participating in the school. Three things that make Reece who she is are soccer, music, and family. Reece says “I like to read, play my guitar, and hang out with friends and family”.

Kash Love’s favorite subject in school is math because it’s simple and makes sense. Kash said, “I want to be on student council, so I can help people around the school and do fun things throughout the year.” Three things that make Kash who he is are that he loves airsoft and is good at it. Also, he likes to chill with his family and play card games.

Tyson Neil Sydenham’s favorite subject in school is P.E. because he likes physical activity. Tyson wanted to be on student council to help with activities for the school. Five things that make Tyson who he is are football, basketball, eating food, watching shows, and playing video games.

Ingrid Campbell’s favorite subject in school is math because, she says, “It is fun to get to solve problems and work through things.”Ingrid wanted to be on student council because she wanted to be involved in helping our school. Three things that make Ingrid who she is are that she loves to do tumbling, hang out with family and friends, and bake. 

Chloe Bauerle’s favorite subject in school is P.E. because it is fun and she gets to do it with friends. Chloe loves being on student council. She wanted to be on it, so she could be a part of the school and plan fun activities. Three things that make Chloe who is are that she likes to dance, hang out with friends, and loves animals.

Brooklyn Devries’s favorite subject is FACS (food and nutrition). Brooklyn wanted to be on student council because she likes showing leadership and being able to help out with activities for the school. Three things that make Brooklyn who she is are close friends, running track, and family. In Brooklyn’s spare time, she likes reading, hanging out with friends, and listening to music.

Jane Allen wanted to be on student council because she said it is a great opportunity and she has been able to learn new things like leadership. One thing that makes Jane who she is, is dancing.

Paizlee Zeuch says her favorite subject is P.E. because it is fun and she does lots of fun activities. Paizlee wanted to be on student council because she likes to do fun activities for our school and help create an enjoyable environment for people in the school. Three things that make Paizlee who she is are cheer, being with friends, riding motorcycles, and watching movies.

Kate Elizabeth Hiatt says her favorite subject is history because she loves to learn about the past. Kate wanted to be on student council because she wanted to learn leadership skills and represent the school. Three things that make her who she is are playing the violin, soccer, and singing/acting. Kate likes to play with her dog and read in her spare time. 

Seventh Grade Members:

 Beau David Miller’s favorite subject is P.E. because he gets to run and play games. Beau wanted to be on the student council because he likes helping others do math. He knows what is going on in the school because he gets to plan stuff. Three things that make Beau Beau are running, mountain biking, and playing piano. Whenever Beau has free time, he likes to hang out with his friends.

Hadly Weeks loves math because she likes to problem-solve. Hadly joined the student council because she loves helping out with school activities. Two things that make Hadly who she is are dance, and doing nails. She loves to dance in her spare time.

Tess Larson’s favorite subject in school is art because she gets to be creative and do fun projects. Tess wanted to be on student council because she wanted to plan fun activities for the school. She also wanted to be on the student council because she gets to be pulled out of class to do fun things. Three things that make Tess Tess are playing guitar, art, and piano.

Rocky Mansfield’s favorite subject is science because he gets to do fun experiments. Rocky joined student council because he wants to help people make friends. Rocky is creative, fun, smart, and plays lacrosse and basketball.

Spencer Rex Mills loves percussion because it is fun and it’s fast-paced. Spencer joined student council so he can help 5th and 6th graders find their place in the middle school. Three things that make Spencer Spencer are basketball, creativity, and art. He also loves to play on his X-Box.

Max Thomas Dickman’s P.E. because he gets to run around. Max joined student council so he could do fun stuff with others. The four things that Max loves are football, basketball, riding his bike, and hanging out with friends.

Leila Orton’s favorite subject is P.E. because she loves playing games, running around, and being active. Leila Wanted to be on student council so she could make the school a better place. Three things that make Liela who she is are tumbling, surfing, and skiing.

Grant Edgingnton’s favorite subject in school is P.E. because he gets to play games. Grant wanted to join student council because he gets to do fun activities. Three things that make Grant Grant are being athletic, being funny, and being kind. Grant likes to play baseball in his spare time. λ
